Shore Black History Lives, A Conversation: How we prayed, played and made a way out of no way"
6pm-8pm. At Ker Place, 69 Market St, Onancock, VA in collaboration with Why, Yes! Consulting. Last year's program, "Downstairs at Ker Place," was the first in a trilogy of programs the Eastern Shore of Virginia Historical Society is producing in celebration of Black History month and featured oral interpretations of slave narratives from the Federal Writers Project. This year's event will highlight Black History in the 20's and 30's. In 2018, the series will conclude with the 50's and 60's. Music will be performed by the Savatino Brothers. The event also includes hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar. Tickets for the event may be purchased at shorehistory.org/ticketsales or call 757-787-8012.
